COMPETITIONS
Only competitions accredited and validated by AWC will be taken into account for the ranking.
The updated list of accredited competitions will be available to pilots at the start of each year and in any case before the start of the first accredited competition.
This list can be updated afterwards and throughout the year.
Accreditation of an open competition is made by AWC before the competition.
Criteria for accreditation are made to ensure that all competitions are considered of comparable difficulty and meet our highest standards of fairness.

Validation of a competition is made by AWC after completion of the competition and after verification that criteria for accreditation are still met.

No competition can be accredited or validated by AWC if the total number of participants is less than 3.

PILOTS
Only pilots who have registered to AWC will be eligible to the ranking of AWC. Registration to AWC is on voluntary basis, after verification of the pilot’s qualifications and experience by the AWC.
Acceptance in an accredited championship remains the responsibility of the organizer of the given championship.

TEAMS
Teams are defined as a group of exactly 3 pilots registered to AWC, of which results are added to give the total score of the team.
Pilots can be members of a same team regardless of gender and citizenship.
Teams are allowed to name themselves freely (e.g. after their country or their sponsor).
In absence of any commercial name, the teams will be named after the family names of their pilots in alphabetic order.
The teams should be registered to AWC by the pilots taking part of the team at the beginning of each year and no later than the day before the first competition they are registered to.
The minimum duration of a team is 1 calendar year, which means that pilots cannot move in or out of their team during the calendar year of registration of the team to AWC.
Pilots in a team do not need to participate to the same championships during a given year. Acceptance of teams in championships is subject to the exact same rules as for individuals.
